Being located in Amsterdam’s financial center, the “Zuidas”, we also have close connections to the financial industry and policy makers in the Netherlands.

In teaching, we cover a range of programmes. Our flagship programmes are the MSc Finance, which has been ranked as best Finance Master in the Netherlands by the national student survey (Nationale Studenten Enquête) for 5 years in a row, the Financial Management programme and three selective MSc Duisenberg Honours Programmes: “Quantitative Risk Management”, “Finance and Technology”, and “Corporate Finance”. We teach finance courses in the Bachelor programmes Economics & Business Economics, (International) Business Administration and Econometrics & Operations Research, and offer executive teaching programmes in Asset Management, Treasury Management, Financial (Risk) Management, and Business Administration. Finally, the department of Finance regularly contributes to specialized research oriented master programmes of Tinbergen Institute (MPhil Finance).

Most of our graduates find their way in (junior) financial management positions or in staff functions in industry, government, international organizations and the financial industry: commercial banks, investment banks, insurance companies, pension funds, asset management firms, real estate companies, investment funds, private equity and financial consultancies.

Our group has a diverse cultural background and works in a very international environment. We strive to attract highly motivated, capable students and to build their talents through a challenging curriculum.
