If you are studying at another Dutch university and you would like to take a minor or elective courses at the School of Business and Economics (SBE), you can register as a secondary course student. You do not need to register via Studielink as a secondary courses student but via register.vu.nl. All steps for registering as a secondary course student can be found here.
Are you currently a student at VU Amsterdam? Then you can find all information on VUnet.
Courses and minors open for secondary course students
Almost all our courses and minors are open for secondary course students as long as you meet the entry requirements. In the study guide you can see if a course has entry requirements. If you are unsure whether you meet the entry requirements shown, you should contact the coordinator of the course.
For courses at Bachelor level and our minors you should have a VWO diploma or equivalent with mathematics A or B, for Econometrics and Operations Research or Data Science a VWO diploma or equivalent with mathematics B. For courses at Master level you need to have a BSc degree. Besides that you also need to meet the entry requirements for the courses.
Registering for a course
Once you are fully registered as a secondary course student, you are able to sign up for the courses you selected in register.vu.nl. Please keep in mind the deadlines to sign up for courses when applying as a secondary course student. If the deadline for signing up for that period has passed it won’t be able to follow the courses.
Information about minors
Are you interested in following a minor? All information regarding minors can be found on the minors website.
You should contact the Central Student Desk if you have any questions regarding proof of payment or if you encounter any problems registering for your minor.
If you have any questions regarding the content of the secondary course that you wish to take, please contact the coordinator of the course.
