Peren Ozturan’s paper accepted for publication in JMR

The first paper of Peren Ozturan’s dissertation has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Marketing Research. The paper is co-authored with Aysegul Ozsomer and Rik Pieters and titled “The Role of Market Orientation in Advertising Spending during Economic Collapse: The Case of Turkey in 2001”.

The authors investigate the role of market orientation in advertising spending during economic contraction. They use the 2001 economic collapse in Turkey as the empirical context to test hypotheses as to why some firms increase their advertising spending in a contraction period while the majority cuts back. We congratulate Peren on this milestone in publishing the first paper of her dissertation!
