The ‘Best teachers’ ranking is new this year and is based on students’ evaluations of their teachers in the National Student Survey. In this survey, they assessed their teachers on competence, commitment, accessibility and guidance. Personal attention, availability outside of scheduled hours, and getting to know the students are characteristics of ‘good’ teachers, according to the study.
