Philip Stork appointed board member of ABP

As per 1 October 2017 Philip Stork has been appointed as board member of pension fund ABP.

ABP is the pension fund for employees in the government and education sectors. As many as 1 in 6 people in the Netherlands now receives or will receive a pension in the future from ABP.

Philip Stork: "I look forward to contributing to ABP, especially in the areas of investment management and risk control where I can also apply my academic knowledge. This large pension fund for, amongst others, the VU-employees deserves our best efforts and trust."

Philip_Stork_PasfotoPhilip Stork is full professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and works for the Postgraduate VU-VBA Investment Management Programme as well as for the Finance department . Between 1994 and 2006 he worked for MeesPierson, Fortis Bank, and Van der Hoop Bankiers as Head of Derivatives, Managing Director Investment Banking and Executive Director.

His activities were mostly concerned with the trading, sales and research of securities (bonds, equities and derivatives), as well as treasury management and risk management. He has run several investment portfolios and was a member of various investment committees.
