Thanks to the collaboration from the Food Bank Amsterdam, De Kroonenberg Group BV and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam School of Business and Economics’s Project FoodBank, the Food Brigade can now use the vans every day to visit the capital’s supermarkets and wholesalers to pick up food that is still good enough for the customers of the Food Bank.
Project FoodBank is a community-based student organization in partnership with the School of Business and Economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, that aims to provide, optimize and support the Amsterdam Food Bank. The student team is led by professor Sander de Leeuw.
