Soon you will start your bachelor’s programme at VU Amsterdam. Which is exciting, but can also be a little scary. Luckily we have compiled all the information you need to successfully start your first year. You can find this information on the Pre-Student Community. You can use your VUnet-ID, which you will have received by now, to log in to the Community. If you’ve lost your VUnet-ID, you can ask the Student Desk for help.

Whether you already are a student at VU Amsterdam or are coming from a different (international) university, here you will find all information which helps you get off to a flying start.

The School of Business and Economics has a diverse student population. And our international students are a huge part of our student community. As an international student, you might face some different issues and have different questions than our Dutch students. For example about housing, grants or visa. You can find a lot of information right here but you can also always get in contact with our international office:

VU Amsterdam has been working hard the last couple of months to ensure continuity of all our programmes and we will continue to do so for our programmes starting September. Do you want more information about how VU Amsterdam is handling the corona crisis and what impact this might have on studying at our university? We regularly update this page on the matter.

Some questions we are asked repeatedly by our (new) students. From enrolling to introduction: find your answers here.
