PhD student
Travers Barclay Child (MPhil, Tinbergen/UvA; MSc, RSIS/NTU; BA, UVic) is a PhD candidate in Development Economics at the VU University. His PhD research is funded by a Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) grant awarded through the NWO Research Talent Program. He also holds an Early Stage Researcher Fellowship funded through the European Commission's Marie Curie Initial Training Networks. Through this fellowship he will work on the Policy Design and Evaluation Research in Developing Countries (PODER) project at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. His current research investigates the impact of post-conflict reconstruction on insurgency, and also corporate ownership and political connections in developing countries.
