Research in Behavioral Finance Conference. I am one of the initiators and organizers of the biennial Research in Behavioral Finance Conference (RBFC) series. The first edition was held in September 2014 in Rotterdam, the second and most recent one in September 2016 in Amsterdam. The next RBFC will be in 2018. Photos, programs and other information can be found on the RFBC website.

Special issue JEBO on Empirical Behavioral Finance. Joint with Doron Kliger and Remco Zwinkels I have edited a special issue entitled Empirical Behavioral Finance for the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization (Vol. 107, Part B, 2014; ScienceDirect). Our introduction includes the results of a short survey among reviewers and authors into the relative importance of different types of research within the theme of empirical behavioral finance. We report evidence that these experts relied on the diversification heuristic when they filled in the questionnaire (SSRN).

Teaching award. I have received a Top Lecturer Award from the Erasmus School of Economics in 2011.

NWO Vidi grant. In May 2016 NWO awarded me a prestigious Vidi research grant worth €800,000 for my proposal "Game show economics: Decision making in high stakes natural experiments." The grant will fund the projects on my research agenda that use TV game shows to analyze the economic behavior of people (Volkskrant).
