Brief résumé

Dr. Karen Verduyn (1971) graduated in business administration at Erasmus University, Rotterdam. She started her career in the corporate world, but went back to academia in 2002. In 2007 she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation, entitled "Tales of Entrepreneurship. Contributions to Understanding Entrepreneurial Life", at VU University.

Research activities

Karen’s research entails the deployment of ‘critical’ and practice-based approaches towards the entrepreneurship phenomenon.

Teaching activities

Karen Verduyn is the coordinator of the MSc BA Master Specialization in Entrepreneurship. She teaches the course Entrepreneurship-in-Action (master’s level, this course deals with the various (theoretical) perspectives on creation, emergence, and creativity), and supervises bachelor, master and PhD students on various topics.
