On Saturday October 13, SBE student initiative Projectfoodbank provided volunteers for collecting food in the Albert Heijn store in Watergraafsmeer, Amsterdam in a joint effort together with the Amsterdam Foodbank and the Albert Heijn store.

The goal of the Supermarketaction was to collect as many products as possible for the clients of the Foodbank. The team had a desk in front of the store and asked customers to buy some extra food in the store for clients of the foodbank. To direct the purchases of these items the team had put posters in the store with sample items that could be purchased for the Foodbank.

It was a fun activity for the volunteers and the customers of Albert Heijn were eager to participate. Three shifts later, the result was one to be proud of: the volunteer team collected 88 full crates. It was an enjoyable day for both students and the Albert Heijn customers! Stay tuned for more activities of Projectfoodbank.
